People all over the world are rising up and resisting. The imperatives are great and the well being of the world hangs in the balance. Wars in Africa and the Middle East, “train bombs” in the port of Albany and oh brother, what a fracking mess. We know what the problems are but what about the alternatives. The Kateri Interfaith Peace Conference are two days devoted to the alternatives starting with a mini retreat led by Bishop Thomas Gumbleton on Friday, August 15, 2014 and followed by our first ever river boat cruise on the summer lovely Mohawk, Friday evening. Saturday’s speakers feature Dr. Jill Stein, David Swanson, Steve Breyman and Kristin Christman who will bring us an alternative, life affirming vision, positive, practical solutions and sustainable energy. Rocking the Boat River Cruise
Join us Friday evening in Herkimer, NY. The cruise will start at 7 PM sharp. With the summer lovely Mohawk and the incredible Erie Canal as a backdrop, our two hour peace cruise aboard Lil’ Diamond III will be transformal. Jill Stein and David Swanson will present and there will be a cash bar. This evening is a chance to relax and play, talk with old friends and new and enjoy the river. Take the NY State Thruday (I-90) to exit 30. The cruise line is located at GEMS ALONG THE MOHAWK, 800 Mohawk St. Herkimer, NY 13350
After exiting the NYS Thruway toll booth, stay in the left lane and travel straight across Mohawk Street into our parking lot.
Approximate driving times from: Albany - 1 hour 15 minutes, Syracuse - 1 hour 15 minutes
Utica - 15 minutes , Cooperstown - 30 minutes, Oneonta - 1 hour ,Binghamton - 1 hour 45 minutes.
You must prereigster for the river cruise as there is limited space available. Cost of the cruise is $20.00
